General Information:
This course provides students with the opportunity to learn and expand their knowledge in the strength and conditioning world. More specifically, the Lab section provides hands on experience for these students. They will be involved with learning the basics of lifting and programming for athletes. They will also be exposed to more in depth logistics about facility design and in depth athlete profiles. It is designed for these students to be sponsored at the end of the semester for them to take the CSCS test and become a certified strength & conditioning coach. There will be 3 hours recorded for class each week. On top of that there will be hours recorded for grading class work, organizing each week, and providing the students with additional details, information and resources. |
Duties:
The duties of my position to teach the students of the course on the material of the Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning text book. It is also in my duties to provide these students with additional outside information and resources as well real life examples and experience. This position also requires me to provide tests and assignments to ensure that these students are processing the information. I will also be organizing the different sections of the course for each week. Compensation: $2,000 for the semester. This payment will be broken down into two payments of $1,000 within the semester. Goals: My goals for this position are to continue to expand my horizons within Tiffin University. I also want to be comfortable being a professor on top of being a baseball coach. It is also one of my goals to get nearly everyone in the course to take the CSCS Test at the end of the semester and be successful with it. Learning Outcomes: To become a better professor.
